Description

Nordic N-urban recently completed a roof renovation project in the parish of Lanhelas, as part of a residential building. The aim of the project was to ensure the durability of the entire building and improve thermal comfort, while preserving the traditional aesthetics of the ceramic tiles.

The work focused on a roof laid on a concrete slab, where a complete renovation process was carried out:

• Removal of the existing covering, ensuring the surface was properly cleaned and prepared;
• Application of adequate thermal insulation, ensuring greater interior comfort and energy efficiency;
• Installation of a battens system and complementary structure, properly dimensioned to receive the new covering;
• Installation of traditional ceramic tiles, carefully aligned and fixed, providing a uniform, high-quality finish;
• Installation of metal flashings and trims, essential to ensure the watertightness and durability of the solution;
• Inspection and treatment of the chimney, ensuring perfect integration into the roof as a whole.
• The end result was a high-quality refurbished roof, combining the tradition of ceramic tiles with today's requirements for thermal comfort and structural durability.
