"Remodelação J-PS"

Description

In the parish of Argela, Nordic N-Urban recently carried out a complete roof renovation, this time using a wooden structure, which restored not only the building's functionality but also the architectural charm characteristic of traditional construction.

The intervention involved several key phases:

• Complete removal of the existing roof, ensuring the work area was prepared;
• Installation of completely new timberwork, using treated wood that was properly sized to withstand the weather and climatic conditions of the region;
• Installation of battens and underlay, ensuring stability and adequate ventilation;
• Laying of traditional ceramic tiles, carefully aligned and fixed to ensure aesthetic uniformity and watertightness;
• Installation of flashings, gutters, and trims, ensuring proper drainage of rainwater and protection of the wooden structure.

The result was a solid, well-ventilated roof, prepared to withstand the humid and demanding climate of the Alto Minho region, while maintaining the aesthetic identity of the local architecture.
